What is Generic Ivermectin?

Generic Ivermectin is a semi-synthetic antiparasitic medication used to treat head lice, onchocerciasis, strongyloidiasis, ascariasis, trichuriasis, and enterobiasis.

Generic Ivermectin USAGES

Generic Ivermectin is used to treat parasitic infections in adults and in children who weigh at least 15 kilograms, rosacea in adults, head lice in adults and children ages 6 months and older.

How to Take Generic Ivermectin

Take this medication by mouth with a full glass of water on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before a meal. Generic Ivermectin is usually taken as a single dose or series of doses, or as directed by your doctor.

Dosage is based on your weight, medical condition, and response to treatment.

Warnings and Precautions

This drug may cause skin problems. The symptoms of these skin problems may look like the symptoms of your parasitic infection. Talk with your doctor if you have any severe itching, rash, or hives.

This drug may cause eye problems

This drug may cause serious and sometimes deadly brain problems in people with Loa loa infection.

During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Generic Ivermectin passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor when prgnant and before breast-feeding.

Drug Interractions

Some of the products that may interact with this drug include: barbiturates (such as phenobarbital,butalbital), benzodiazepines (such as clonazepam, lorazepam), sodium oxybate (GHB),valproic acid.

Possible Side Effects

Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. But the following side effects may occur: headache, dizziness, muscle pain, nausea, loss of appetite or diarrhea , vomiting or loss of energy. Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: neck/back pain, swelling face/arms/hands/feet, chest pain, fast heartbeat, confusion, seizures, loss of consciousness.

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medications away from children and pets.
